Today

Today,
I love you.
Today,
I hate you.
This week,
I love you,
This week,
I hate you.
Can this go on,
it has for years.
This love hate relationship,
is now over.
I am kicking you to the curb,
to the trash can you must go.
Did you figure me out,
I am your bathroom scale.
Hooray~you are gone.

Soul Food

Bagels and baguettes
Bap or fried bake,
The fruits of the flour
are easy to make

Chollah, chapatti,
Cinnamon bun.
These global delights,
make eating such fun.

Filled with Caribbean sweet meat
like Guava jam,
Scottish smoked salmon;
Or Danish roast ham.

Add a fresh fruit salad,
Some sparkling wine,
A candle, red roses and
you’re ready to dine.

Jello

It wiggles and jiggles
and feels fun to the touch,
a cinch to make;
something everyone loves.

There are a million flavours,
many are fat free,
jello has been around
for many centuries.

The colours are as vibrant
as a peacock's quills
just pick your favourite;
add water, and let chill.

For something so simple
to bring such pleasure,
it is one of life's mysteries,
that everyone treasures.

So lets pause for a moment
and give thanks to jello;
for who doesn't smile,
at the options of jello.

Enigma's Calling

Extraordinary, I am
Craving for unusual thoughts
Endless exploration without boundary
Understanding the gift I shouldn't fought

Invisible drawings in my mind
Playing with the words in my head
My passion
The food of my soul

I feel so lucky
The random thoughts
A lifetime companion
A self esteem builder
A goal planner
Be my forever life saver

I write more
I talk less
I want to please
I chose to bore

What tickles me the most
Is to know what I'm for
Thinking is my love
When my mind goes empty
That's when I hate

My day dreaming lust
Organizing things in my mind
Playing roles of simulation
Where images of art is my vision
And words of attitude is my heart

Oh, Yes.

I have a new lover, the best that I have had in a while; he satisfies my insatiable
appetite...

anytime ~

day
or
night;

He is Italian, and he brings his very own pesto sauce for me to spread...

all over his large body;

Oh ~ his meat...thick...tantalizing...so tasty, and his buns ~ oh, so warm...

If you are lonely some evening, and you need to be satisfied, one call and he is
soon there...ready...

just
for
you...

Of course, there is plenty if you are a sharing soul. Our initial meeting occurred
today when my daughter brought him home...

"Mom, I would like you to meet Quizno, the Ultimate Italian sub."

Oh Ogden, Our Ogden

Will one write an Ogden Nash?
A touch o' wink, bit a blink
And then, add a glint o' guile...
Doing all, with wryest smile.

Or could it come out "Mish-Nashed"?
Since Nash, he himself, had mashed
His isms into witticisms
Leaving most in a mad dash -

Tribute, 8 Line, Light Verse, 48 Words, To Ogden Nash
Noted American Poet 1902 - 1971

* On the Horizon

Out on the horizon dances the animals,
free from their bondage that held them once.
They are hidden well you must look hard to see
them through the brush, grass, and the trees.
Enemies, prey for others to eat they were once but,
but now they all are dancing free out on the horizon.

Dedicated to: Dane Ann Smith-Johnson

Heaven must be like.)

It Was Me!

There was a boy named Charlie who loved to climb trees.
You could always recognize him by his scraped up knees.

When his mother would tell him to come inside
he'd climb up his favorite tree and hide.

You could hear the siren as the firemen zoomed through town.
They had, just had to get that little boy on the ground.

The people would say, "There goes Charlie climbing that tree."
They really shouldn't say that because this time it was me!

I see you in the distance quite stunning are are to my eye's, I start to check you up and down I think an angel has arrived. Lovely slender legs and curvy little waist, nicely proportioned bust, amazing grace. As you slowly get closer my heart skips a beat, flicking your beautiful long brown hair so I can gaze upon your face. I quickly turn my head away, I just can't believe my eye's. Do I Or Don'T I

Give me something smart to say
Or maybe something dumb
What should I do, Should I stay?
Or should I go, ho hum?

Nothing seems to come together
Nothing seems to flow
Should I brush my teeth right now?
Or watch the Oprah show?

Why are some days really nutty
And others just plain boring
Today I'm going to flip a coin
If it's tail, I'm going bowling.

Featherless Angels

How did you become featherless
Angels are always blessed and do bless
Standing too close to the fire
Devil got me in a crossfire
Make sure you always tell God yes

Zoo

Quote By Poet "A zoo trip can put a zip in your
walk and zeal for being outside with the animals."

A hot summer's day at the zoo,
beautiful white clouds with a bright sky of blue.
Look the elephants are being chased by the clean up crew,
watch out he just might moo.
Here we have lions of two,
just like me and you.
The cute little bear is eating bamboo,
they want bamboo and I want some hot beef stew.
The day and time is almost through,
let's go home and have some cheese fondue.

A Mouse Or A Mountain

Growing up, I was the runt of the litter. My siblings called me Cute, because I was the youngest one. It was very hard growing up as a little mouse, gray with tiny white spots. I saw myself as big as a mountain, then felt that mountain move inside of me. Growing and learning is what I did, then one day I was all grown up. I wondered, where would the world take me? I found myself living on top, yes on top of a mountain. I am no longer the runt, I am no longer called Cute. Living on top of this mountain, is my home. The mouse and the mountain, now has become one.

In Marked Territory

The very hot summer is coming to a close, fresh cool weather is in the air. I love my walks on autumn days, it puts a giddy up in my steps. Off to the pretty park we will go, looking for the In Marked Territory area. The grass seems much greener, with a very deep rich smell. Open the gate quickly before I let loose, a fun doggie park is the way to go.

Pumpkins

Pumpkins set up on high
Pretty leaves are dancing
Paints coming in orange
Painting funny faces

Pies will make big smiles shine
Priceless fun day for all.

- My Silver Gray Ferrari -

Never give up, fight if you can

Rheumatism has already attacked joints all over the body

Hands, shoulder, elbow, hip, ankles and knees are not as they once were

You have to fight on ... but is not easy getting old

My brilliant car ... so raw and simple ... a cure for depression

It is not difficult in any way

I just love it ... a real Ferrari puppy
