School

Why does a child have to go to school?
Why do we have to spend so much time working?
This seems simply cruel.
Isn't it just irking?

Some people say school is important for learning
Couldn't a child learn on their own?
It would cause much less yearning,
After all, we can learn from our phones.

I can somewhat see a parents point in sending their child to school.
But why would you choose what we wear?
It just allows us to look like fools,
We may as well come to school bear.

As you can see school is not fair,
So please don’t force us to go if you care.

Sympathy

I knew a man with a sailors hat
Fat and chubby, smelled like a rat
         kissed him out of stupidity,
now he's down on one knee,
Somebody give me a baseball bat!

Remedy Required

I ache from my nose to my knees; I sniffle and snuffle and wheeze. A small tot of rum might settle my tum, but what should I take for a sneeze? ~

Unforgettable

Today
I made the grocery list
For delivery.
The breads, the turkey
  Slices, and ham, the lettuce
For salad
  Which led to discussing tomatoes;
The yogurt, milk, cream;
 peanut butter; tissues even,
But, oh confound!
I forgot cake!
How do I forgive myself that?

I Blow

On bended knee I blow my flute
I think I sound better than the corner Juke
                           But...
She turns red when she hears my sound
then heads for the door, never turning around !

Virgin Or Not, Don'T Just Touch It

O, touch me not, leave me, I plead
For the safety of your own fatty butt
Like me, bear in mind, King David
He killed a giant, with a single shot

Old 66 Mustang

This 1966 mustang that i own
It unique and thinks it has it own throne
Oh yes it drives
Thats until the engine dies
Was this car ever fast
To me it seems out classed
Since last year I've worked on this car
Everyone knows i haven't got that far
But i know it has potential
Even thought i just broke it rear end differential
It doesn't roar
And no its not like that greek god thoar
More or less its funny
I should call it a big lovable bunny

Flushed Away

Kids to the left of me, kids to the right of me
Kids screaming loudly, kids they’re a blight to me
Give them a sweetie or some other thing
Let them outside, to cry on the wing
Just please keep them quiet, I’m trying to rest
It’s a four hour flight and I’m not at my best
Now, I’ve got an idea which seems rather bold
Shall I see if the crew have got room in the hold
Or the loo, that's a good place to send them to play
Then if luck’s on our side, they might get flushed away

The Cat

Hello ma'am!
My name is Sam.
     I am a cat,
As you see, I'm on your mat.
Please help me - I am a stray.
Can I have a bed in which to lay?
I can help you with your late time napping,
I can purr so you can sleep when you're camping!
     Ma'am you're so kind,
That you don't mind.

Thomas Bold

Beneath this stone
A lump of clay
Lies the body of thomas bold
Who boast around to say
"I am bold,i am bold"
But cease to be
When death stares at him
I am dying-he scream!

My Favorite Spy

My own favorite spy, James Bond 007,
He loves stirred Martini, but not shaken.
He is very lovable and blue-eyed blond,
That’s why sexy spies gave up their gun.

No Sympathy

No Sympathy
-----------------

I stagger round the house
convinced that I am dying,
completely off my food
and sometimes feel like crying.

My breathing is erratic
body racked with pain,
and I’m sure there’s a virus
eating at my brain.

My legs have turned to jelly
can’t seem to take much more,
I ought to call an ambulance
before I collapse on the floor.

I told my wife i’ve had enough
she said “you’re getting old”,
you’re acting like a typical man
and you only have a cold.

Sponge Count

Ernest went to the doctor,
who said that his spleen must come out
The day that he went for his treatment
a rumor was going about

That the doctor was seemingly careless,
and leaving some sponges behind
So Ernest confronted the surgeon,
and gave him a piece of his mind

He ranted until he was flustered,
then after a calming down pause
Told him the staff should be looking,
accounting for sponges and gauze

The doctor was most reassuring;
he said it would all be okay
And told him that he and his nurses
would be looking in earnest today.

The Dying Gardener

As she rendered him
His daily medication
He noticed nobility

Beaming
Over her
Lovely, pinker face

Wisdom
Love
And purity

Had curved
Her inner
And outside beauty

“If God permits me...
To live a little longer
Surely, I’ll sow my seeds on her!” he said

Dad

Dad is not perfect, but, a wonderful man;
He’s honored by his wife, daughter and son.

Whether a naughty girl or an angelic boy,
He’s ready to buy a gift or make a toy.

Dad is whom you want to be with,
When you’re down or you’re in need.

He is always there for you, giving hope;
And loses his temper when you’re in dope.

Dad was born, indeed, to make us laugh;
Especially, when he shares his funny stuff.

In one’s heart, he leaves his memories;
A true friend, a brother, a man of peace.

So this is what dad means to me;
Am I ready for this? Let me see.

Hmm, I’m thinking; nope, I pass.
I’m old, just 90. You boys don’t rush.

Bikini Top

(This is a fictional poem)

When I went to the beach, the men beat me fiercely and they wouldn't stop.
It happened when a girl in a bikini lost her top.
The men got angry when I gave her my shirt.
They chased me down and I got hurt.
After beating me to a pulp, they threw me in the sea.
A shark came along and took a chunk out of me.
I left the beach because it's untelling what would've happened if I'd stayed.
I won't go back because I'm afraid.
