Fountain
I want to eat Pizza
While wishing on a star
To taste the taste of happy
By being where you are
We’ll choose to be silly
Not afraid of mistakes
Skinny dip at midnight
and skip pebbles on lakes
Why not dance together
While howling at the moon
Or become little children
and watch a cartoon
A world infused with laughter
can change how we think
From this fountain of youth
We’ll both gladly drink
For nothing could be better
Than sharing it with you
Because getting into mischief
Is a blast if there are two!

Mountain Lake Inspiration
Mountain Lake is my favorite place to write
under shade tree are my pencil, paper, and pole.
Scribble down words while waiting for a bite
fishing my most popular angling hole.
Fish are jumping all around hook and line
small cork sits still and does not move or fade.
Patiently I sit in wait for that fish to dine
beneath weeping willow of cool tree shade.
Inspiration overwhelms biding snare
while creative mind laggardly transcends.
In far distance I see lone grizzly bear
and leave a good fishing pole to his friends.

Cross-Eyed Woman -Limerick-
Cross eyed woman had a nasty fall
after running into a brick wall
she was hit over the head
with a big loaf of bread
while trying to play basketball.

Well Endowed Inspired By Mike Gentile
Mike Gentile claims he's well endowed,
How lucky, no wonder he's proud
My poor neighbour Rodger -
he's got a small todger,
oops sorry I said that out loud!

Women’s rights?
Men in tights
Rising crime?
Hang wind-chimes
Covid fears?

Stocks falling?
Piggy-bank calling
Nothing to do?

Grateful
Grateful
The bird in the cage sits,
and sometimes sings.
On Sunday he gets let out.
That is the best day.
The cat is at church.

Do It Again
A life, years before, had begun,
Now … nearly over and done
Down a lane
Just to obtain
Life’s irrepressible lesson.
‘T is not what we have possessed
That left us so wonderfully blessed
Nor was it beauty,
Nor sense of duty
But how our life’s been assessed.
‘T was treatment of mankind and kin …
The love we expressed from within
To those we met,
And without regret
Would happily do it again.

Sage Advice From George Washington
"Associate yourself with men of good quality if you esteem your reputation!"
This sage advice was offered by George Washington, the father of our nation!
'Tis but one of many wise adages to us he did bequeath.
Can be said that truer words were never spoken through falser teeth!

My Plan
This Is My Plan
Now that things are quiet
Heavy hitters hanging low
It's time to post my bestest poems
And let my talent show
I see Deb, Lin and Andrea
Are keeping kinda still
So,I might make it up that list
Where I can show my skill
My eye is on those top three spots
But, before I reach my goal
I'll have to go through Ninty-seven
Poets in a row
But seeing no one, is around
I don't know how I'll miss
To get my poem on the Top
Of The Hundred All-Time List

Food For Thought
If life is like a box of chocolates,
is it rude to ask for candy?
Can you really say with certainty
that you even understand me?
When life hands you lemons
I think you'd better run.
Cause life can throw a curve ball
and hit you just for fun.
I can do without the chocolates
You can keep your lemons too.
Life is what you make of it
not what it makes of you.

Thank You From Lacy
A little thanks from me to you,
For all you've done and all you do.
Work life would've been much more dire,
If you weren't always there to inspire.
Thank you for forever letting me moan,
Advice on hand and an ear on loan.
Cracking jokes and making me laugh,
So much better than the rest of the staff.
It's really been a continuous pleasure,
They don't deserve you, you absolute treasure!

All the While You'Re So Pretty
All the while you're so pretty
Making everyone smile all in line
With you we stay all day plenty
Our hearts you strum like a guitar
We never asked any piece of you
All the while you're so pretty
Showing simple things that delight us
Blowing bubbles of laughter that relieve us
Each morning you come out like a clown
You always make us whole, not frown
All the while you're so pretty
Pretty in many ways, keeping us so jolly
Each night your brilliance never fades
In and out your goodbye never bades
Coming back and seeing us, making us all pretty
All the while you're so pretty

Old Son, Young Dad
He died forty
with strength and wit
He left a son Young and young
He died nighty
With bones no teeth
He left a boy pale and forty
They meet in paradise
Dad still forty
Son at nighty
Dad thought it was grand pa
Son thought he was grand son
Who had died also

What Is Real
Look, to your left a pot of gold, this is not real.
Well, look to your right a pot of silver, this is not real also.
Then, look down money all around, this is not real.
On the other hand, Look! Look! Up at the sky Christ lives, now this is what is really real.
God Bless

Cinderella's Slipper -Fractured Canzone-
Cinderella lost her slipper
while she ran away from the ball
tripped on a step, had nasty fall,
her wicked step-sister hit her
and got laughed at by the other,
but, Cinders, did not care at all
found the slipper, it hit the wall
angered feelings started to stir.
Smacked the sisters upside their heads
laughed loudly, as she laid in bed.

The Canzone, isn't supposed to have a couplet at the end. I got the idea from Thomas Wyatt. He took a sonnet and added a Petrarch couplet at the end of his writes. I don't know how many, but I thought, it was a great idea. So..... I tried one of my own. Cool. Eh? :oP

Career Mum
Would Joan of Arc be a post office clerk
In the year of two thousand and four?
And Lady Godiver, if we could revive her
Would she mop the kitchen floor?
These heros of history, make my lifestyle a mystery
Such women we shouldn’t ignore
So well in my thirties, with hand cream and nappies
I went down on my knees, despite the dog’s fleas
For a Wonderbra, a fancy new car
And a job that would take me far
Now I’m totally weary, yet it seemed fine in theory
To split myself in two . . . as you do!
But I feel like a martyr, this lark’s a non-starter
And I blame Bodacea and Germaine Greer
For this deep-rooted need to have a career

Spot On, Harry
Harry Styles from One Direction has corrected a fan's punctuation...
Harry Styles is really great
He knows how to punctuate
And he learnt to spell at school
Harry, man, you're really cool
Better read than Harry Potter
A rarer breed, a comma spotter
Tell us, Harry, in your pop
What’s the point of a full stop?

Book Launch
The generous seas do roam vividly,
And sacred words spoken earnestly.
People suffer and people go to war,
I just hope these words will go afar.
Yesterday I published a FREE book,
Indeed a feat of altruism, no crook!
I suffer in silence in every moment.
I have no money to publish a stunt.
I was just hoping for word-of-mouth
And email propagation as loudmouth.
