it worked for a queen and king

Mother Nature's Scolding

****

Winter and spring had a fight.
We had 4 inches of snow late last night.
The tulips and daffodils are covered in snow.
Cold winds and temperatures above zero.
Their dear mother said, "You two better play nice!"
"Do not cross me or you'll pay the price."

You live in a fantasy

What a pretty day, sitting watching bees play. My yellow sunflower bends. I am perched up high, friends will go by. Dragon fly and a fairy are friends.

Poet POTD

I'm a flower tickler
with a flower tickler's thumb
like my dog before me
although he's more of a philanthropist
than a poet, but, like him, I too bark
my greenery of colours when needed
and tickle flowers

Skin

You send bolts through my skin
something I was never to
accomplish with you, when I
saw you it's like my heart sank
to my stomach and I was in
shock my body still my body
heavy felt like when I moved I
was about to fall to my knees
you make me want to get
inside my brain pick you up and
take you out pick you one by
one like a flower because I do
love you and love you not.

Spring's Other Side

Spring is the time to venture out and play
the pretty flowers are wearing the bees
maybe it is bright and sunny all day
early morning may come with a cool breeze.

Did you remember to put on bug spray
or you will be lunch and eaten alive
make sure that you do not become their prey
watch out for the low large hanging beehive.

Springtime can bring sun and much needed rain
we sneeze and blow our nose as flowers grow
today their beautiful colors will reign
as the soft wind will magically blow.

I cannot wait for this warm special time
and hear the ringing sound from the wind chime.

Land of Summertime

Land of Summertime

Maroon Mums lay among white vast cushions.
So proud are Heathers far above Queen Buttons.
See hazy Coxcombs brush the Willy Willows while
Dandelions are resting upon white Angel Pillows.

Carmine Kangaroom paws hop, hop, and hop.
Lumonium, Gladiolus and Larkspur lazily stop.
Lisanthus, talebear and go tell the other Orchids!
Look, look, Snapdragons, scouting for Kings!

Adjoin virtuosity, there are inklings of scent!
Rose Spray whirls in the dancing breeze.
Astonished is Alabaster eyes and stance as
Xanthous Daffodils giggle and sneeze.

Aster nurtures the Baby's Breath without relent
As Spring and Summer embrace the scent.

Buffalo Bill

This is the story of Buffalo Bill
An ordinary buffalo was he - until
A beautiful flower he saw on a hill
Instead of grazing
He just stood gazing
With joy the flower did him fill

Soon left behind was Buffalo Bill
The herd thinking he might be ill
Not knowing why he stood so still
The flower - swaying
To Bill was saying
Stay here forever Do say you will

Everyone heard about Buffalo Bill
First from Jack and then from Jill
They all went running up the hill
To see this flower
That had such power
To discover an ordinary daffodil

The Broken Girl-Not Me

Is my life not tortured enough for you to see?
I am broken as can be.
My heart is torn.
My tears stain these perfect floors.
Why are singing with glee?
Why do you not care about my every plea?
I am trapped in your arms.
I am the hopeless moth.
How did you pick me?
What is it that you see?
A girl untouched by life?
A flower blooming in the desert?
I have said goodbye to my loving integrity.
You took that from me through R-A-P-E.

Flower Power-God's Must Be Crazy

There’s a prickly old man who seemed lazy
Yet while loafing he pushed up a daisy
And said with some practice
He’d force up a cactus
Just to prove that the gods must be crazy

Stop buzzing round my head bee
I am not a flower
Message understood
I'll go and have a shower

I know I 'm smelling sweaty
This I must agree
Working in the garden
Has made a smelly me.

Buzz off and feed now

Go and fill on pollen
I'm a gardener that cares

Glad to become

Moving On

Goodbye sweet friend it's time to go,
Don't act as if you did not know.
Now is the chance for me to show,
You have become my greatest foe
I'm leaving you at dawn.
Remember when we used to be
Like peas in a pod, you and me?
Now all I want is to be free
It's time I'm moving on.

The sun awoke to bless my sky,
Wind has given me wings to fly,
I'm feeling so free, I cannot lie
Turning I whisper one last goodbye,
As I'm leaving you at dawn.
Today has become my greatest test...
Find a field where my seed shall rest
Till when next year I'm a Dandelion pest.
That's why I'm moving on.

Garden of Woes

Twinkling little elephant toes
Prancing through the Garden Of Woes,
 Sniffing daisies
 With his long dainty nose.

 "Good morning to you",
 says a cute butterfly.
 With cheeks glowing pink
 The mammoth creature whispers, "Hi".

 Turning from pink
 To bright crimson red,
 He bats his lashes
 And hides his head.

 As the butterfly turns
 And flutters away,
 The prancing little elephant
 Continues to play.

 I realize then
 That it's time for bed.
 Cuz, the dancing pink elephant
 Is all in my head!
