The Queen of Laughter

Delight and laughter are your stock and trade,
With rhyme you carry our worries away,
You’re much more fun than a penny arcade.
Words sparkle like an egg by Faberge,
Dancing across poems like a cabaret.

A footle on poop, you’re back in the loop,
With words tastier than alphabet soup.
The limericks you write are out of sight,
Leaving us soupers no time to regroup,
Before the next poem gives pure delight.

Gone Spelunking

I went in not feeling much excitement.
Further into the cave I did venture.
             Claustrophobia robs my enjoyment
               As I began my scary adventure;
Far from ideal stroll out in nature.
I vowed "I'm done being a thrill seeker!"
As I trailed other spelunkers deeper...
Into the cave afraid it might cave in!
Luckily, I didn't meet the grim reaper!
Try again? Now that's a cardinal sin!

Naked Reflections

Naked Reflections

No racked babe, but I've had no cut and paste!
Like young casabas up front and still 'kewl'!
F i n e 'Brick House' (...'more than a mouthful's a waste')!
**** compared to a 'forty-dollar mule'
With a swing exemplifying my rule!
Each lavender curve, smooth as South Sea Pearls
Enveloped by trellising golden curls.
Body and English, my lingoes in Lit.
And tough guys still stammer, week-kneed like girls!

Mirror's the same ... reflection's changed a bit.

Killing Kilojoules

my noble efforts seem to be in vain
my sweat army fights a huge enemy
In every ugly battle we take strain
battle weary troops are my penalty
my weak will my only soft weaponry

defiant kilojoules taunt my sweat troops
they gather themselves in organized groups
their guerrilla warfare holds the war reign
a sneaky snack attack caused a big whoops
now I have to rethink my whole campaign

Plotineads

ocean - a beautiful naked woman
a pseudo of her makeup
a smile that the soul drank

this indescribable face
these curves endlessly

she give birth the galaxy
she resuscitates the indefinite

is this my destiny
is she my desire

this absolute ecstasy

Different Look

Different look

I woke up to check my mirror, and 'WOW"!
Agape!this is not me-a ghost or a clown?
This must be a ghost with a flowing gown,
Confused as I am,I went back to bed,
It must have been a dream just like the fairy,
Which gives me the cramp as I look scary,
Having a funny look which is frail,
means definitely my beauty has failed,
I cried to my Godfather for a solution,
Who told me to accept this evolution.

Uninvited Guest

Cooper came to visit a while last week,
Uninvited, unannounced – insolent!
I guess he’s here to stay, the cheeky sneak.
I asked him to leave but he’s still hell-bent
on staying, proclaiming he’s innocent!
Well, feathered friend, I’m keeping you at bay.
My feeder’s not hawk’s bait for easy prey.
Fly toward wilder feeding grounds to feast.
Use your hunter’s skill and fly far away.
Bugger off my song birds’ feeder, at least!

Last Minute Shopping

Cars are bustlin’ and people are hustlin’, The avenues are backed up with shoppers Last minute hunters are getting frantic, Christmas Eve comes on Friday of this week One must come prepared for all the panic, As Impulse buying is on the increase With buyers getting more and more frantic, The hubbub will last for another week The helter-skelter probably won’t stop And, I’m not going to last-minute shop!

Skeletons In My Cupboard

Selfie at Wat Rong Khun temple, Thailand
was the screen saver on my mobile phone.
My three year old daughter asked ‘where’s this land?’
Heart fluttered, for I was not there alone,
so I murmured something in monotone.
Till date, when my daughter takes me aside,
if asked, I’d say she was a tourist guide!
Clandestine encounters of shady past,
from phone erased, in memory reside.
If truth revealed, my girl will be aghast!
