The Unhappy Hostess

Come into my house,
Sit anywhere you like.

No, not at my table,
No, not on my chair.
Come into my house,
Sit anywhere.

I invited you,
I opened up my home.
Oh, I changed my mind,
It is a vaulted tome.
Sit anywhere.

Come into my house,
You really are not welcome.
You are a phantom guest,
And a sadly, unwanted pest,
Yet still...
Sit anywhere.

It is a perfect place,
You should have been more proud,
Just to be invited,
And permitted, in the crowd.
Sit anywhere.

With rules and hidden spaces.
And a common thought out plan,
You do not fit, so do not sit,
“Sit anywhere”.

It Hurts Too Much To Cry

'Tis tax time again much to my chagrin!

I await that like a kick on the shin.

      Again they'll drain me dry

It just wants to make me cry!

Guess I'll just have to bear it and grin!

At the Middle of the Night

AT THE MIDLE OF A NIGHT
I wake up to unusual ringtone
I rise to pick up my phone
One eyed half open,
I stretch out my hands down my pillow
I clean my throat ready to say “hallo”

My right thumb on the screen to slide the green icon
But….there is no message or a missed call
Oh my God, I forgot that I never had you’re new number at all
Because you’re gone- my sweetie
So reluctantly, I have to go back to sleep

Cry Me a River

aqua insurgent brushstrokes
cry me a river

Swimming the Dark Sea

Such pain, such pain this poor heart's born,
with so little pleasures in return,
much gifts it has bestowed, unearned
now, here it lies; morose, forlorn

Alas, alas, what curse has brought this
wrath upon such an innocent soul,
its spirit broken by this tragic role
like Atlas or more so, Sisyphus

Fall down again from feet to knees
to plumb the dark and dreary depths,
the length and seemingly infinite breadth
of this warm, salty sea of self-pity

These murky waters, born from tears
these waves and tides that chop and churn,
these silent sobs leave one to yearn
for one small thing; a tender ear

The Old Shaggy Yellow Spotted Dog

the old shaggy yellow spotted dog
ran quickly around the drawing room
chasing a long tale

until it spotted itself
in a mirror on the wall
and was amazed

by how old it is looking
and how quickly
time passes

remembering its youth
it laid down in a cradle in the woom
and cried

Man In the Rain

His sad face telling
The truth? Or is he shedding
Tears under the rain?

Deep Purple Days

Deep purple days
the sun will rise
and squeeze like grapes
my bloodshot eyes
that cry red wine
to line my face.
A brighter day
draws Chardonnay.

Go Figure Those Weeblitz Cry the Walliforth

“Go Figure…Those Weeblitz”… cry the Walliforth!
By Ingrid Showalter Swift

Of Walliforth...the Dreggors Gorth!
with calls of frobulation
The Spraliwongs do bleet and frong
In roudious trapulation
the Wonder Bigiums flaunt their sternest defra-get-ulation!!!

but still moril !
in magical mill…… in marvelous migration…
the Weeblitz sing
a lilty wing
…………………of stupendous
Glora…derid…eration

It's Funny

It's funny
How we would take
A bullet
For the person
Behind the trigger

And it's funny
How we would love
Someone who is incapable of loving

And it's funny
How we would give it all up
For something that will give you nothing

And it's funny
How we would cry and hurt
For someone who brings you only happiness

And it's funny
How we would lose ourselves
For someone who is forever lost

My Smart Friend

My friend thinks he's smart to say with a sigh,
"Onions are the only food that make you cry!"
I said, "Is that right?"
And then just for spite
I threw a pomegranate at his eye!

Cookies and Milk

I wanted some cookies and milk
So much.
I never crave this.
I never crave cookies.
I never crave milk and cookies and such.
It may not seem vital to people and persons who aren't in my head right now, right here.
But I wanted cookies and I couldn't have them.
It's not that I need or deserve them at all.
It's just that I saw it. The package of cookies.
I poured out the milk, a glass larger sized
Then opened the pack of cookies and lies.
One was remaining.
Just one.
Just one?...
I'm saddened the cookies are done.
They're done.
I wanted some cookies and milk so much.
So much. So much. So much

Said the Turkey - Murder

Said the turkey,
Please, Please, Please pardon me.
Look at how I tilt my head in plea!
You HUMANS!
Y'all are ugly fat-head Killers?
A lot of gall,
even telling God you'll are going to killing me.
You flesh eating devils.
Parasites!
Y'all disgust me.

Wonder and Lust

Sexy fun salty sweet
Swish, dip, whip and roll,
Love to take a south bound stroll.

Sticky dripping goo,
Uh oh; those look very blue,
Enjoy a protein shake?

Friends first,
Virtue and chaste,
It's ok to wait.

Smooth as silk,
Or bear skin rug...
Matters of personal design.

So much praise,
Between crying sobs...
Worship of the fleshly gods!

Why Cry

Why cry?

An overwhelming urge to cry,
The reason? I’ve no idea why
Jittery fluttering in my gut
A tension building inside, but
What is the reason? still no clue
Am I losing control? what to do?
Just let it out, the tension will go
It came and went, why? I don’t know
Could it simply be just me?
Or is it caused by PMT?

I Can, But Should I

I cried on a pale tree within my reach
Anguish flowed with a life lesson to teach
Though not a swinger
Here is the zinger
I can truly say I bawled on a beech!

Cry Pig

Cry pig because you’re about to be slaughtered
Cry pig because people will begin to eat you shortly
Cry pig because you will be in a frying pan soon
Cry pig because you will be served in restaurants tomorrow
Cry pig because you will no longer be with your family
Cry pig because your children will be next
Cry pig because you will suffer through pain to achieve our hunger
Cry pig because you will never die of natural causes
Cry pig because you will no longer have feelings
Cry pig because you will no longer have emotions
Cry pig because your life is over
Cry pig because ours have just begun

Be Hold

be brave my soul, there is no hope anymore,
people have chosen the darkness instead of the light,
the world is upside down.

fear has overcome our happiness, there is no hope.
our blossoming lives have all gone bad because of the darkness,
we are all scared of the sunlight as it brings tears on our lives.

but even the darkness is not kind at us but at list we can hide from the reality.
at list we can lock the doors and hope for God to save us from us.
at list we can be together as a family just to protect one another.

our beautiful world is not safe anymore,
people get killed,
people get raped,
what happened to the humanity?

Sound Support

When you laugh, the world

Will laugh with you, and when you

Cry, the world will cry with you.

                    It is safe to say,

When you sleep, and you snore, the

World will let you sleep alone.

History

Its history
Which is a mystery
It’s not that fun
From it I like to run
It makes me sleep
And its book I have to keep
Its history
Which is a mystery
It makes me so bore
you can hear my loud snore
It irritates me
As you can see
Its history
Which is a mystery

Nobody Likes My Poems, a Song

Nobody likes my poems
I do not know why
Think I'll grab a knife to stab
Myself in the eye.

Nobody likes my poems
I only sniff and pout
Think I'll soon pick up a spoon
And gouge my eyeballs out.

Slapped

When my mom delivered me, she and I both screamed. Dad said, the doctor slapped both of us!
