Rodin - New Icon

RODIN’S NEW ICON

Should Rodin live today would he be inspired
To sculpt a marble sequel to THE THINKER
Modern ethos means fresh image is required
To become an old to new generation linker

[Perhaps in stone less pale, a little pinker!]

He might witness casts of posture stereotypical
And find there inspiration for his art
With perceptive focussed eye and viewpoint quizzical
An image would develop in his heart

Of a body bowed, head inclined toward hand sinister
While index digit stabs from aspect dexter
Then with his hands he’d clay or stone administer
To create a new iconic symbol; and name it: THE TEXTER

A Slight Improvement

Genesis 1:27
God creates male and female

A Slight Improvement

All it took was one rib,
Adam wouldn’t miss it.
Look what he gained.

At first sight, he uttered
an ancient word the equivalent
of the modern, “Wow!”

From the best use of a rib
of all time, came a creature
capable of charm, seduction,
procreation, gentleness, envy,
love, virtue, loyalty, jealousy,
deceit, and an affinity for salt.

Though she came from man,
she seeks always to best him,
and considers herself superior
in every way. After all, she has
that extra rib.

First Appeared in Galaxy of Verse.

Kept in the ice box

Fell from the sky
Kept in the ice box
Another…

Poop- There It Is

No pushing or breaking of water
It was a c-section that brought her
But this is about
What wouldn’t come out
A poop just as big as my daughter!

Perhaps it was pain medication
To clog up and cause constipation
Nurse said I must show
They won’t let me go
Till poop- there it is- defecation!

Determined, I pulled an all-nighter.
That turd was a hell of a fighter.
And then with my tush,
Turns out I did push!
And poof! I was seven pounds lighter!

The Giggle Fairy

Hello, my name is Mary
And I'm a giggle fairy!
You will know when I am near
just listen then you'll hear...
The sound of gentle giggling
The sound of my wings wriggling
It's bound to make you smile
If you listen for a while
I arrive when you feel sad
To make you feel less bad
I pour giggles in your heart
but this is just the start
I steal away your fears
and dry up all your tears
Then when your giggles start
It's then I have to part
but I'll return one day
With giggles all the way

Fake Words

Fake Words – Zamreen Zarook

God have given us mouth,
Not to speak to north and south,
Tongue is given under an oath,
So it’s our duty to protect them both.

Girls chat fake with boys,
Having a notion that the boys are toys,
They often make varied noise,
Thinking to keep a trap on handsome guys.

Boys are also human being,
So it’s not possible being clean,
Things varies in the way they are seen,
So positive thinking will make you keen.

Boys’ minds are pure,
As it is pure bio,
So don’t try to pour vino,
Which will take decades to get cure.

Behind the Selfies

I have a very brief confession
that I have to make.
It's about the selfies
and it'll make you break.

I only wear glamorous tops
during my homemade shots,
Since bottoms aren't seen
And only the face is on screen.

I give all my efforts
In putting some makeups
Just to look pretty on my selfie
And wrote on it -- hashtag no makeup.

I put on my lipsticks
And do the sexy duck face,
Then captioned the output with bible quotes
Though it doesn't relate.

Mom wondered
Why I locked myself in my room.
Oh please, I was just doing a selfie
and surprisingly came out well groomed.

Dear Adam and Eve, You Had 1 Job, That's All

Work, work, work, work, work
                       Work, work, work, wor, wor
Wor, wor, wor, wor, wor, wo

The irony of the fall of man:

Them yielding to Eden’s free and tempting fruit,
Now cursed us to labor for our fruit.

They should’ve had a hamburger.

Bar

love walks into a bar
sees hope drinkin' it away;
what's wrong, love asks
nothing's wrong, hope replies,
nothing is wrong...

love turns to fate the bartender

My Rhyme the Best

Hi! I want to chant why my rhyme is the best;
I have a scant five minutes—this my time really limits;
If I fail it won't be my demise—Errare humanum est;
My rhyme makes folks gawk, sometimes so much they
Cannot even talk—My rhymes surprise and blow you away!

Cooking Up Stories

Why would I care enough
to open your recipe story?
Why don't I care enough
to pour you in to enrich mine?

I love your wild seasoned willingness,
can't say the same for our salty willfulness
to exchange our sweet belonging
for side-by-side sour longing.
for being karma's relentless instructions
when we could more peacefully
become simple incarnate
co-productions.

Prime cooking together
feeds my soul to yours,
organic compost
sublime breakfast
wild voiced beings
with choices
stir-flying nice.

Freedom from recipe's half-baked inwardness
evolves freedom toward half-fried out hypothesis.

Natural nutrients grow strong values
folding our stories with care.

The Typewriter

Some winter day,
In Orson's realm...
Or was it just a film?

One Paris night,
Along The Seine streams...
Or was it in my dreams?

I saw them, spies,
I heard all the cries...
Or had I been dreaming?

A machine gun
Would not stop to run...
Or was it still this film?

I woke up, then,
To grab a new pen...
Could THAT all make MY film?

The typewriter
let her fingers run...
WHO'LL STOP THIS MACHINE GUN!?

greet wide smirk jesters coruscating flippant jibes

punchlines on cue evoke swell vibes

Unique

The word Unique says it all to me
I chose it for my jewelry title because it was meant to be,

Call it what you want because your opinion doesn't matter
Due to my success in everything I do and I guess that makes you a mad hatter,

The proudness I feel when I create a unique piece of jewelry
People can be jealous that you seem a little bit blury,

So next time you are looking at my unique jewelry sites
Her jewelry is good due to all her face book likes.

This Poem

This poem has yet to finish.
It's barely past the start.
It hasn't any followers
and isn't yet an art.

The subject is not written:
direction not quite clear.
My reason for it's being
is only what is here.

The length is getting longer
with nothing more to say.
Without a proper ending
it just might run astray.

I'll say my final thoughts
in hopes they'll bring an end.
But really; who'm I kidding,
a sequels 'round the bend.

A Few Antidotes

Anyone deserves the time of day.
Wave your hand to say hello.
Ciao, you are close.

Tongue and teeth fall out.
Your best defensiveness is to know why.
An olive branch you offer.
No amends found move onward.

You are as funny as a fruitcake.
Patty cake bakes a man.
See him in stance and measure him.
Assure that you utilize constructive criticism.
On the other hand, maybe he is just humorous.
Laugh when the fun overwhelms you.

A few antidotes and now I close.
